Anastrepha spp. were caught in McPhail traps in the coffee producing area of Chiapas during a two year period. A. ludens was the most abundant species, followed by A. distincta and A. fraterculus ; these three species comprised nearly 95% of the total flies caught. Grapefruit, orange, mandarin and chalum trees yielded the highest catches; there was little relationship between what was caught on a host and what was known to infest its fruit.
