Palaeontologia Cathayana, a book series published in English, offers researchers outside of the People's Republic of China access to Chinese original literature on palaeontology and stratigraphy. The Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology, Academia Sinica, non-periodically publishes papers on all aspects of palaeontology, stratigraphy and palaeobiogeography. These papers, including review articles, short papers on the description or discussion of important fauna and flora, are originals of great value with fine illustrations. Moreover, this series also provides timely reports on recent research not only of the Institute but from varied projects within the People's Republic of China.
