Los anfibios de Quintín Arauz, municipio de Centla, Tabasco, México

Durante un año se muestreó el acahual, el pastizal y la selva baja espinosa, en siete localidades, principalmente en el poblado de Quintín Arauz, ubicado en la zona núcleo de la Reserva de la Biosfera Pantanos de Centla, con el objeto de conocer la comunidad de los anfibios y evaluar la riqueza y abundancia relativa de éstos en tres tipos de vegetación. Los recorridos se realizaron utilizando transectos de 2000 m. Se registraron 12 taxa. El acahual presentó la mayor riqueza específica (11 especies). La abundancia relativa está representada por dos especies (Bufo marinus y Hyla loquax). Existe una gran similitud entre Quintín Arauz con Chichicastle y Nueva Esperanza por compartir diferentes tipos de vegetación. Se concluye que la vegetación influye sobre la distribución de las especies, de acuerdo a la disponibilidad de cuerpos de agua para ofrecer recursos alimentarios, refugio y sitios de reproducción. spa

Throughout a year, the acahual, the grassland and the thorn low forest were sampled in seven sites, especially in the community of Quintín Arauz, which is located in the heart of the Biosphere Reserve Pantanos de Centla, in order to know the amphibian community and to evaluate its richness and relative abundance in three types of vegetation. The tracks were carried out using 2000m paths. 12 taxa were registered. The acahual showed the highest specific richness (11 species). The relative abundance is represented by two species (Bufo marinus y Hyla loquax).
