En este artículo se expone el proceso de creación del Programa de Equidad de Género de la Universidad de Ciencias y Artes de Chiapas. Se abordan tres aspectos de la vida universitaria que confluyen en la creación del programa y que corresponden a la investigación feminista y los estudios de género, la planeación y la estructura institucional. Se muestra que en el proceso de transversalización ha confluido la participación de los agentes educativos (profesores e investigadoras), el trabajo de investigación con perspectiva de género y las autoridades universitarias, lo que permite un entorno favorable para una transversalidad que llamaré de base. This paper describes the process of creation of the Gender Equity Program of the University of Science and Arts of Chiapas (Unicach in Spanish). In this text, it is shown that there are three aspects of university life that come together in the creation of the program corresponding to the research field of feminist and gender studies in the Unicach, institutional planning mechanisms, and the current institutional structure.
