Perspectiva de género en instituciones de educación superior en la región sur-sureste de México

Este trabajo expone los resultados de un proyecto colectivo de investigación realizado por 17 académicas/os integrantes de la Red de Estudios de Género (Regen) de la Anuies (Región Sur-Sureste) concentrados en el libro Géneros, universidades y ciencia editado por la Universidad Autónoma de Campeche y la Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán. El tema que definió el hilo conductor del estudio fue la perspectiva de género en instituciones de educación superior, enfoque de análisis prioritario en el programa de actividades de la Red. El objetivo fue conocer algunos avances en materia de planeación y operación de programas educativos y acciones afirmativas encaminadas a mejorar las condiciones de las mujeres en las instituciones educativas. Asimismo, se buscó contribuir al conocimiento de la posición y condición de las mujeres que estudian y/o trabajan en Universidades y Centros de Investigación de esta región del país. Para ello, se identificó su posición en los puestos de toma de decisiones y en los organigramas laborales (administrativo y académico), así como la situación en la que se integran a la comunidad universitaria y de investigación de las ies consideradas en este trabajo. La información disponible y más relevante sobre la posición y condición de las mujeres en diez instituciones de educación superior en esta región del país, representa apenas el principio de un trabajo que merece ser realizado con mayores recursos financieros y humanos para conocer a fondo la desigualdad de género en la que aún se encuentra la población femenina como integrante del personal administrativo, académico y estudiantil de las universidades y centros de investigación. spa

This research sets out the results of a collective research project realized by 17 scholars of the gender network called Regen (a network that belongs to the south and southeast region of Anuies, Mexico) that concentrates the results in the book titled "Gender, Universities and Science: A gender perspective of the educative institutions" published by the Autonomous University of Campeche and the Autonomous University of Yucatan in 2011. The subject that defined the theme of the study was the perspective of gender relations in educational institutions and graduate programs in research institutions, an approach of high-priority analysis in the program of activities of the network. The objective was to know some advances in the matter of planning and operation of educative programs, as well as affirmative actions directed to improve the conditions of women in educative institutions, as well as to contribute to a knowledge of the position and condition of the women who study and/or work at the universities and research centers of this region of the country. For it, the position of women in decision making and in labor organizational (administrative and academic) positions was identified, as well as, the positions in which they are integrated to the university community and research areas. Based on the information available and the position and condition of the women in ten institutions of education superior in this region of the country, this work is only the initial process that deserves to be carried out with majors financial resources and human to know how gender inequality is still present in all scenarios of the universities and research center of the region. eng
