En este artículo se analiza el proceso por medio del cual se configuran las identidades femenino-religiosas a partir de los discursos, los espacios, los roles, las prácticas, las normas y el estatus que la religión prescribe sobre el ser femenino. La religión establece tipos ideales de hombre y mujer, que representan exclusiones e inclusiones, formas de ser y actuar, de vestirse y de comportarse, entre otros. El objetivo es analizar cómo la religión estructura las relaciones de género, no sólo al interior de los grupos religiosos, sino también en otras esferas en la vida cotidiana.

This paper analyzes the process in which the female-religious identities gain configuration through discourses, spaces, roles, practices, norms and status that religion sets on about the female self. Religion establish ideal kinds to be man and woman, these ways represent exclusions and inclusions, ways of being, acting, dressing, and behaving, among others. The purpose is to analyze how religion structures gender relations, not only within the religious groups, but also in everyday life.
