Este artículo presenta los resultados de una investigación cualitativa sobre los migrantes de Valle de Solís (Temascalcingo, México), una región de lejana tradición en la migración internacional. Se abordan diversas etapas de la migración masculina y la incorporación de las mujeres al flujo migratorio. Mediante la observación de tres generaciones de migrantes se analizan cambios sociales importantes en la vida cotidiana de tres comunidades pertenecientes al Valle de Solís para entender la lógica migratoria a partir de motivaciones locales que exigen un cambio social frente a procesos globales de movilidad. This article presents the results of a qualitative research on the migrants from Solis Valley (Temascalcingo, State of Mexico, Mexico), a region distant from the international migration tradition. Diverse stages of masculine migration and the incorporation of women into the migratory flows are approached; by means of the observation of three generations of migrants, we analyze important social changes in everyday life of three communities in Solis Valley to understand the migratory logic from the local motivations that demand a social change in the face of global processes of mobility.
