Hexane extracts of volatile substances from sexually mature male and female Triatoma mazzottii Usinger, collected with cold glass trap ( −10°C) and evaluated in a wind tunnel, demonstrated the absence of a sex pheromone. The females failed to secrete a liquid from the sixth and seventh abdominal sternite.
