La investigación analiza los resultados obtenidos en un estudio de percepción social sobre el impacto socioeconómico del Pago por Servicios Ambientales Hidrológicos de Fondos Concurrentes implementado por la Comisión Nacional Forestal y el municipio de Taxco en los bienes comunales de San Pedro y San Felipe Chichila durante el periodo 2009-2012. A partir de una encuesta estadísticamente representativa, se muestra que desde la perspectiva del núcleo agrario el pago influye muy poco en la mejora de sus ingresos; sin embargo, ha propiciado un cambio en la valoración que tienen sobre el uso del bosque para un manejo más sustentable. La tradición organizativa y política de la comunidad es clave para entender la adopción de diferentes instrumentos favorables para la conservación de sus recursos forestales. Español

The article analyzes the results obtained in one research of social perception about the socioeconomic impact of the Payment for Hydrological Environment Services implemented by the National Commission of Forestry and the municipal government of Taxco in the common property of the land in San Pedro and San Felipe Chichila from 2009 to 2012. Using a statistically representative survey, the authors found that from the point of view of the agrarian communities the payment doesn't improve too much their economic income; nevertheless, the policy has let them to strengthen their values related to a more sustainable management of their forest. The communities' political and organizational tradition is a key to understand their adoption of several instruments that favor the conservation of their forest resources. Inglés
